Digital Product Design
At A Glance
As people have become increasingly aware of the harm caused to the environment by fast fashion, many have turned to buying used clothing. However, shoppers often have trouble navigating the various resale platforms and online second-hand marketplaces that the internet has to offer. Simplifying this process will help shoppers find used clothing that they love and make it easier for them meet their goals of practicing more sustainable shopping habits. I designed 2ndNature with the goal of making happier shoppers and a happier earth.

Defining the Problem
The Solution
2ndNature is an app that allows users to shop several resale platforms in one place and find used clothing items that look similar to fast fashion items they search for or upload photos of.
The Problem
Shoppers want an easy way to shop all resale sites at once because they want to find second-hand clothing that matches their personal style.
Target Audience
The target market is 16 to 25-year-old shoppers and majority female. It is mostly gen-z individuals who are interest in fashion or sustainability, or who simply enjoy shopping.
The Process
Persona Development
Starting to consider my target audience, I developed primary, secondary, and tertiary personas in order to understand my users.
Brainstorming & Wireframing
Next, I began brainstorming key features and user flows, which then inspired preliminary low-fidelity wireframes.
Usability Testing
Once I had a working low-fidelity prototype, I was ready to start usability testing. I asked my users to go through the process of creating an account, searching for an item by uploading an image, and “opening” a product in a third-party app. These tests helped me identify dead ends in my flows and actions that were not intuitive to users. I used this feedback to improve my design during the final step of finalizing a high-fidelity prototype.
Final Product
Lastly, I implemented user feedback and selected colors and typefaces to complete the final product.
